Hyposoter didymator Ichnovirus
Whole genome shotgun

-> The polydnavirus of Hyposoter didymator Ichnovirus (HdIV)

The genome of polydnaviruses is original in that it is composed of multiple circular segments of double-stranded DNA. About twenty circles of 2 to 16 kb have been identified to date, to bring the total size of the genome of the virus to 25- to 300 kb.

Viral DNA will be amplified for sequencing using the rolling circle DNA polymerase (Amersham), and a library of 5 kb inserts will be produced in pcdna2.1. The ends of about 2 500 clones will be sequenced (about 5 000 sequences).
