Dystrophin-deficiency causes Duchenne muscular dystrophy. The mdx mouse is an animal model of this physiopathologic situation. Interestingly, in mdx mice, an unknown compensating process limits muscular necrosis during most of the animal's life.
It is of great interest to understand, both at the fundamental and the practical levels, the induced effects of dystrophin deficiency.

This project aims to sequence a rare cDNA library, generated by the subtractive suppressive hybridization technique, both in mdx and control mice.
