GenProp0473 arsenite oxidase~The enzyme designated 1.20.9.1, arsenate reductase (azurin), acts in the biological process of arsenite oxidation for energy metabolism rather than in the reduction of intracellular arsenate to facilitate transport as is the case for arsenate reductases of arsenical resistance systems. The large subunit contains a molybdopterin cofactor, while the small subunit is a Rieske iron-sulfur protein. Azurin is present in some but not all species with arsenite oxidase; it may be replaced by auracyanin or an unrelated redox partner. None - {{∅}} None - {{∅}} Unexplained
