UMR (Unite Mixte de Recherche) 8030, “Genomique Metabolique” (CNRS-Genoscope-Universite d’Evry) is the fundamental research structure of Genoscope (for more information)
Its objective is to extend the in silico sequence annotations by experimental approaches, especially in the domain of metabolic enzymes.
The UMR Genomique Metabolique is constituted of 5 groups. Two of them (Cloaca maxima and Metabolic Thesaurus projects) have essentially biological goals and the three others (Comparative Genomics Workshop, Sequence analysis of eukaryotic genomes and the “Metabolic networks” group) are interested in various aspects of bioinformatics (sequence analysis, evolution of genomes, metabolic modeling)
