State of the project:
Genoscope is undertaking the sequencing of a large collection of cacao tree full-length cDNAs, isolated from different organs and genotypes, and maintained under different physiological conditions (biotic and abiotic stress).
Between 80,000 and 100,000 cDNAs will be sequenced in both
directions, for a total of between 160,000 and 200,000 reads.
Clones and sequences will be placed in the public domain (EMBL and the
Tropgene-DB database).
