This is a collaborative project together with the Developmental Biology Group of the Pasteur Institute in Paris, headed by Charles Babinet.
The sequencing of 5 BACs from the mouse chromosome 11 should allow the characterization of a conditional lethal effect correlated with an interaction defect between parental genes and a cytoplasmic product, which leads to an early stage embryonic death. This trait has been previously localized between the D11Mit36 and D11Mit33 markers.
A second part of this project consists in the extension of the D11Mit33-D11Mit36 region sequence by sequencing 7 another BACs.
