For the walnut tree, Genoscope is undertaking the 5’ sequencing of about 8,000 clones from 4 EST libraries (0.4 to 0.8 kb inserts in pBlueScriptIISK+) from the cambial zone, differentiating xylem and the transition zone between the sapwood and the heartwood.
