State of the project:
A recent study (Chambon et al.: High resolution allelotype analysis of childhood B-lineage acute lymphoblastic leukemia. Leukemia 1998. 12(7):1107-1113) has indicated the possibility of involvement of the 8q13-q21 region in the appearance of tumors in some types of acute lymphblastic B leukemia.
The objective of this project is to sequence this region in order to determine the genetic elements that might be implicated in the process of tumor development.
