Genomic resources

Once sequenced, genomic libraries and cDNA libraries are sent to the « Genomic Resources » team. This group takes care of maintenance, to ensure their perpetual storage and to remove redundant clones by screening. The group also has the mission of responding to requests for clones, hybridization membranes or specific screening by public and private research laboratories.

In addition to their statute of « perpetual guardians » of these genomic and cDNA libraries from humans, mice or Tetraodon, the team exploits genomic resources for other internal and external Genoscope projects. It collaborated notably on two internal projects, the first on gene expression in Acinetobacter baylyi, and the second on the quantitative measurement of species in the metagenome of Cloaca maxima. One of the external projects involves the search for polymorphisms (tupe SNPs OR SNP-type) and candidate genes for rheumatoid arthritis (GenHotel Laboratory)
