  1. Sequencing strategies
     At present, there are two strategies for sequencing large genomes :
    • Whole genome shotgun sequencing
    • Clone-by-clone sequencing
  1. Sequencing steps
     In the context of large whole genome projects, the production of sequence data at Genome is performed as a four-step process :
    • Extraction of DNA
    • Cloning
    • Sequencing
    • Annotation of the sequences
