The genome of Bradyrhizobium ORS278 consists of a single circular chromosome estimated at 7 Mb. Its average G+C content should be 66 to 68%.
Three libraries are under construction at Genoscope in pcdna2.a, pCNS and pBBC vectors, with genomic fragments of 3, 10 and 25 kb respectively. A total of 150 000 reads are planned, for a depth of 12x.
Gaps and low-quality regions in the assembled sequence will undergo a finishing step at Genoscope.
