Aphanomyces euteiches

The objective of the project is to produce a collection of Aphanomyces euteiches ESTs by 5’ sequencing of two cDNA libraries (10,000 reads for each one) constructed from mRNA from a mycelium cultivated under two different conditions:

• the first library (some of which has been sequenced already as a as a pilot project) is from a mycelium in stationary growth phase in articificial medium;
• the second library will be produced from an organism in the early phase of infection (the pathogenic agent in contact with the roots of its host, Medicago trunculata).

Genoscope will undertake the following steps:

• 10,000 clones from transformed bacteria will be replicated for each of the libraries
• About 20,000 reads will be performed on ABI 3730 sequencers.
